Terms of Service
Last updated July 30, 2026
These terms cover use of Looncaller's AI phone answering and text notification service ("the Service"), operated from Minnesota. By using the Service — as a client or as someone calling a Looncaller-powered line — you agree to these terms.
What the Service does
Looncaller answers phone calls on your behalf, sorts them by type (emergency, maintenance, leasing, payments, general questions), gives fixed safety guidance and attempts a live transfer on real emergencies, and logs a summary of every call to your dashboard. It's a voice layer in front of your existing phone line — it doesn't replace your property management software, process payments, or provide legal, medical, or financial advice.
Text messages
As a client, you may provide phone numbers during onboarding to receive text alerts about calls that need your attention. Message frequency depends on your call volume. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help — or email contact@looncaller.com and we'll handle it directly.
Your responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us during onboarding (emergency contacts, vendor details, property information) — the Service configures itself around what you tell it, so incomplete or outdated information affects how calls are handled. You're responsible for making sure the alert numbers you provide are monitored, especially for emergency escalation.
No guarantee of uninterrupted service
We work to keep the Service reliable, but like any phone/internet-dependent system, outages can happen — on our end or a provider's (Twilio, Retell AI, or others we rely on to deliver the Service). We're not liable for damages arising from a missed call due to service interruption, though we'll work in good faith to resolve issues quickly and communicate clearly if something's down.
Emergencies
The Service gives fixed, pre-approved safety guidance on real emergencies and attempts a live transfer — it is not a substitute for calling 911, and callers are told this directly during emergency calls. Looncaller and its AI assistant do not make medical, legal, or safety judgment calls beyond that fixed guidance.
Billing
Plans are usage-based, tied to call volume, as described at the time you sign up. We'll talk with you before any change to your plan or pricing — no surprise bills.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time by contacting contact@looncaller.com. We'll confirm your line is disconnected from the Service and handle your data per our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated directly to active clients, not just posted quietly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
